My Orientation & Approach
My work is grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and developmental psychology. I draw from relational, strengths-based, and culturally responsive approaches, integrating evidence-based practices that align with each individual or family’s needs. I strongly believe in the power of secure relationships and early experiences in shaping lifelong mental health, and I incorporate this perspective into my work with both children and caregivers.
Some Fun Facts
When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me cooking, spending time with family and friends, traveling, listening to music, or going for walks. I love learning about different cultures and perspectives, which has shaped both my personal life and my work as a clinician. I believe that small moments of joy—like sharing a meal or exploring a new place—can be powerful tools for connection and healing.
What working with me is like
My approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and relationship-focused. I specialize in supporting immigrant families and individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum challenges, and early parenting. As a bilingual clinician, I offer services in Farsi and Dari, helping to bridge cultural and linguistic barriers in mental health care.
I believe that healing happens in safe, supportive relationships, and I strive to create that space for every family I work with. Whether I’m supporting caregivers, young children, or families facing major life transitions, I bring warmth, understanding, and a strong belief in the power of secure attachments and early relationships. I aim for every client to feel heard, valued, and empowered in their journey.
Quote
“If you want to become whole, let yourself be partial. If you want to become straight, let yourself be crooked. If you want to become full, let yourself be empty. If you want to be reborn, let yourself die. If you want to be given everything, give everything up.” ― Lao Tzu, Tao Te Ching
Important about me
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Azad University in Roudehan, Iran, and a Master’s in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, I am pursuing an MSW at Pitt to further expand my ability to serve families. My specialized training includes certifications in Infant Mental Health, Supporting Early Social and Emotional Development, Circle of Security Parenting, and Promoting First Relationships, and I hold an Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement.
I currently serve as an Early Childhood Liaison for the Alliance for Infants and Toddlers, where I provide trauma-informed support to families and assess at-risk children’s developmental and emotional well-being. Additionally, I am proud to be on the Board of Directors at Postpartum Pittsburgh, where I advocate for perinatal mental health support in my community.
